Members’ cards change all the time. Banks reissue cards after fraud, replace lost cards, and issue new expiry dates. When the card on file goes out of date, the next membership rebill declines and the member is at risk of churning. The Card Updater fixes this before it happens. It receives updated card details from the card networks and refreshes the card on file, so the membership rebill goes through. The Card Updater report shows every rebill charged on an updated card, the revenue those rebills recovered, and the fees they cost.
Card Updater billing starts on October 20, 2026. Fees apply to membership rebills charged on updated cards from that date onward. Any rebills charged before October 20, 2026 will show no fee.

KPI tiles

The tiles at the top of the report summarize the selected date range. Only membership rebills count toward the report. The Net Recovered tile also shows how much revenue you recovered for every $1 in fees, for example “$12.50 recovered per $1 in fees.” A membership rebilled more than once on an updated card in the date range counts once toward Memberships Saved, but each rebill adds to Revenue Recovered and Card Updater Fees.

Updated Cards table

The table lists every membership rebill charged on an updated card in the selected date range, one row per rebill. The Amount column adds up to the Revenue Recovered tile, and the Fee column adds up to the Card Updater Fees tile.

How fees are billed

Each membership rebill charged on an updated card carries a flat Card Updater fee. The fee is set at the time of the sale, so a rebill keeps the fee in place on the day it was charged. The fee is withheld from your Adyen payout, the same way Adyen processing fees are.

Reconciling with the Deposits report

On the Deposits report, Card Updater fees appear in their own Card Updater Fees column, separate from Adyen processing fees. The amount covers every day in the payout it was taken from. To see the rebills behind a payout’s fee:
  1. On the Deposits report, click the amount in the Card Updater Fees column. Amounts of $0.00 are not links.
  2. The Card Updater report opens for that location, with the date range set to the payout’s dates.
  3. Check that the Card Updater Fees tile matches the amount on the Deposits report. The Fee column lists each rebill that makes up the total.
