MacNeil does not make or officially sell a product called r-TC, though MacNeil tunnels are frequently retrofitted with a Kesseltronics r-TC in the field. MacNeil’s site describes it as part of an “NCS” family of brands, which is a different NCS from National Carwash Solutions, the separate industry roll-up, and the two are easily confused. Also known as: MacNeil; McNeil (common misspelling in field usage). See also: MCC (MacNeil); MTC; PBS-4000; r-TC.

Magnetic AutoControl

Uses the framework name “Carwash 4.0” to describe its vision of connected equipment, smart controllers, and data analytics. Also known as: NCS. See also: AMP Memberships; Clarity; Carwash 4.0; MacNeil Wash Systems.

No PECO-branded controller or software product is documented in currently accessible sources. PECO’s older tunnel-control technology lineage is separately described, in operator forum commentary, as having been carried forward by Kesseltronics, whose r-TC is called “the successor to older Peco equipment”; whether that reflects PECO selling or licensing different parts of its business at different times is unconfirmed, and no vendor or trade-press source reconciles the two threads. See also: STI Conveyor Systems; Hydra-Flex; DataTrax; Kesseltronics Systems.

Reliable Plus

Car wash equipment distributor/integrator (part of the Lubetech family of brands) selling in-bay automatic and tunnel (“vehicle wash”) equipment and ancillary equipment. No source reviewed named a proprietary tunnel controller under the Reliable Plus brand; its materials describe carrying “top-of-the-line” equipment and offering custom-designed wash systems, suggesting it integrates other vendors’ controllers rather than building its own. See also: Tunnel Controller. Unverified.

Also known as: Consumer Intelligence by Suds. See also: Catalyst; PrecisionPricing; DRB; Retention Express.

Survision

French license-plate-recognition (LPR/ANPR) camera manufacturer (Nanterre, France; US office in Miami) selling purpose-built LPR cameras - Micropak, Nanopak, Picopak, Visipak, Citypak - pitched for car wash use as enabling gate-free, ticket-free, pay-station-free entry by integrating plate reads with a site’s POS/membership system. Represents the camera-hardware layer beneath a car wash vendor’s own branded LPR product; no reviewed car-wash vendor page names Survision (or any camera OEM) as its supplier, so specific attributions remain unconfirmed. See also: LPR; Auto Passport LPR; FastID; Sonny’s LPR.

Its four-tier menu (Quality > Super > Ultimate > Works) is a documented example of the industry’s ascending-value package naming convention. See also: Franchise vs. Corporate Model; Menu Tier Naming Convention; Tommy Car Wash Systems; Tommy Transporter.

TransCore

RFID tag and reader manufacturer best known for highway-tolling transponders (e.g., “eGo Plus” windshield sticker tags), sold as generic RFID hardware through vehicle-ID equipment resellers. No source found documents a car wash controls vendor naming TransCore as its RFID tag supplier - DRB FastPass, ICS Auto Passport RFID, Micrologic CleanCarPass and others describe “passive RFID windshield tags” generically without naming a manufacturer. See also: RFID; FastPass; Auto Passport RFID; CleanCarPass. Unverified.

Product lines include Portal/Portal TI+, Wash Select II, Sentinel, C-Start, WashPay, and Gate Control. DRB, then a Unitec customer, acquired Unitec; the combined entity was described at the time as “the largest provider of point of sale software and hardware products for the car wash industry,” serving 14,000+ sites. Later rebranded DRB In-Bay Solutions under DRB’s master-brand consolidation, though the Unitec name persists on hardware, and startwithunitec.com now largely redirects into DRB’s site structure. Also known as: DRB In-Bay Solutions. See also: Sierra; C-Start; Portal TI+; X-Start.

Washify

Cloud-based point-of-sale and management platform for car washes (tunnel, in-bay automatic, and self-serve), covering POS hardware, membership/loyalty, CRM, fleet accounts, and marketing tools. Originally an independent Massachusetts company (Washify Services, LLC); acquired by DRB Systems in March 2021 and now sold as DRB’s entry-level/small-operator tier alongside SiteWatch and Patheon. Washify appears to rely on third-party tunnel controllers (ICS, DataTrax) bridged via MOXA relay hardware rather than selling its own controller. Also encountered by competitors as an incumbent system that operators migrate off of, requiring account cancellation and payment-token transfer. Comparable products include WashConnect (ICS) and LogicWash (Micrologic). See also: X-Station; Xelerator; DRB; XPT. US car wash controls manufacturer (Northville, Michigan) selling its own tunnel controller (WashPac v5, supporting up to 500 functions and 256 outputs), an “MCC” control product, the Voyager II tablet-based POS, LPR, an entrance/pay terminal it calls the All-Pay Pay Station, and a queue/display product called Displayer. It should not be confused with WashLinks (washlinks.ca), a separate Ontario, Canada equipment distributor with a near-identical name and no evidence of affiliation, and its “MCC” product shares an initialism with the generic Motor Control Center and with MacNeil’s controller. Also known as: “The Control Freaks” (self-marketing tagline). See also: WashPac v5; WashLinks; MCC (Motor Control Center); MCC (MacNeil). Canadian car wash equipment distributor (Mississauga, Ontario), self-described as “the #1 provider of quality car wash equipment and premium services to car wash owners and operators across Canada,” reselling third-party technology including LPR (97%+ accuracy claimed), a two-lane RFID “auto passport” system (30,000+ cars/month capacity claimed), and Sonny’s Pay Station, with Kesseltronics as a listed supplier. Not the same company as Washlink Systems (Michigan) despite the nearly identical name. See also: Washlink Systems; Kesseltronics Systems; Sonny’s Pay Station.
