Overview

Discounts are manually applied deductions used by staff to adjust pricing at checkout. They are designed for controlled, operational use cases where authorized team members apply a price reduction directly on FlexWash devices. Discounts do not require customer action and are never applied automatically. This ensures pricing adjustments remain intentional, auditable, and role-restricted.

Creating a Discount

When creating a Discount, you define how the price adjustment works and who is allowed to apply it. Dscntmain1

Name

Enter a clear, descriptive name for the Discount. This name appears on FlexWash devices and in transaction records, so it should reflect the purpose of the pricing adjustment.

Discount Type

Choose how the discount value is determined:
  • Fixed — Applies a predefined dollar and cent amount.
  • Percentage — Applies a percentage-based reduction.
  • Variable — Allows the discount amount to be entered manually on the FlexWash device at the time of checkout.
Variable discounts are typically used when staff discretion is required.

Roles

Select the minimum organizational role required to apply this Discount. Only staff members with the selected role (or higher) will see and be able to use the Discount on FlexWash devices.

Wash Packages

Choose which wash packages are eligible for this Discount. The Discount can only be applied to the selected packages.

Enable

Ensure the Enabled option is checked. Disabled Discounts are not visible and cannot be applied on FlexWash devices.

  2. An authorized role selects a Discount from the available options.
  3. The Discount value is applied to an eligible wash package.
