# Car Wash Industry Glossary

> Every vendor names the same equipment differently. A pay kiosk is an XPT at DRB and an X-Station at Washify, and operators use lingo no manual defines. This glossary defines the vocabulary of the car wash industry and maps each vendor name to its equivalents.

Each entry gives the definition, the vendor behind the term, the names other vendors use for the same thing, and cross references. Entries marked *unverified* record a term whose name is confirmed but whose details lack a primary source. Use search to jump straight to a term.
